The Officers and Members of the Huntingdon Valley Fire Company would like to extend our congratulations to firefighter and former Lieutenant Joseph “JJ” Weinstein. On Saturday January 2nd, J.J. fulfilled a lifelong dream and graduated from the 190th Cadet Class of the Philadelphia Fire Academy. Graduating 3rd in his class, JJ was recognized by the Philadelphia Fire Department for his outstanding accomplishment and given a Certificate of Academic Achievement.
We wish JJ all the success and luck in his new career and are very proud of his continued commitment and dedication to public service. To quote Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Derrick Sawyer “Firefighting is not what you do. It’s who you are.”
