Friday July 11th members of HVFC participated in the Academy of the New Church’s annual Summer Camp. The summer camp is open to 8th and 9th grade students and is designed to familiarize campers with various aspects of the Bryn Athyn community.
As a part of this event, Bryn Athyn Fire Company arranged for a live vehicle rescue demonstration where campers get hands on experience using tools and techniques used by firefighters during emergency calls. Members of Huntingdon Valley Fire Company were on hand with Squad 8 and our hydraulic vehicle rescue tools to assist with the demonstration.
