Station 8 was dispatched at 7:30pm November 12th for a dwelling fire in the 200 block of Cranberry Drive. Callers reported two elderly residents in the home. Station 8 was dispatched for a car fire at 1:09 pm on Meadowlark Drive near Oriole Lane. Upon arrival Engine 8-1 confirmed the report and deployed two attack lines. Fire Prevention Open House was held from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Fire safety demonstrations, zip line for the kids and live fire activities are just a few of the interactive activities we were held for the kids today. At 8:51, Stations 8 and 11 were dispatched to reports of a vehicle fire in the area of Philmont Ave and Red Lion Rd. Squad 8 and Engine 8-1 responded. FM 25 arrived on location, confirming the fire was out. Crews from Squad 8 did some additional minor extinguishing.
